In a recent announcement, Fenaka Corporation has appointed Mohamed Abdul Kareem, commonly known as Rukuma, as its new Deputy Managing Director. This move marks a significant shift in the leadership of the state-owned utility company.
Rukuma brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as a member of parliament representing the South Henveiru constituency. Prior to joining Fenaka, he held the position of Deputy Managing Director at the Waste Management Corporation (WEMCO), a role he assumed after President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu took office.
Fenaka Corporation expressed confidence in Rukuma's appointment, highlighting the importance of his leadership skills and experience in contributing to the company's operations. The corporation warmly welcomed him to the team, emphasizing the value he brings to the organization.
This appointment comes in the wake of Ibrahim Naif's departure from the Deputy Managing Director position at Fenaka. The company has extended its gratitude to Naif for his services during his tenure.
It's worth noting that Naif has close ties to Abdul Raheem Abdullah, the Speaker of the Parliament and Chairman of the PNC. Additionally, Naif played a crucial role as the electoral agent for President Muizzu during the presidential election campaign.
This change in leadership at Fenaka Corporation reflects ongoing shifts in key positions within state-owned enterprises following the recent change in government.
