Medical emergencies will be given top priority

Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen, has said that emergency transportation will be given top priority from today.
Mohammed Muizzu informed all relevant government agencies tonight to reform the system of bringing patients to emergency treatment.
In a post on X tonight, Minister Amin said that the rules of Maldivian have been changed from today. From now on, the first priority will be given to carrying patients in emergencies.
"Once a hospital receives information about an emergency case, Maldivian Airline's top priority will be to carry the person who needs to be carried in the emergency," the minister said.
The minister added that the introduction of the air ambulance service is one of the top priorities of the government and the service will be available to the people by the beginning of March.
"This service will start on 1 March 2024, with Allah's help!" The minister said.
