Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has signed an agreement with Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) to obtain their cleaning services.
WAMCO's cleaning service, known as "Hoba," was registered with MPL, and the agreement was signed today.
This cleaning service is a new initiative by WAMCO. Currently, the service is primarily offered to government offices.
WAMCO stated that they are currently providing this service to four government offices, and more offices are expressing interest in the service. WAMCO also mentioned that they would extend the service to additional offices as their capacity allows.
WAMCO began offering the cleaning service after training the necessary staff.
In a previous interview with state media, WAMCO's former Deputy Managing Director, Mohamed Abdul Kareem, said that the company decided to offer this service due to high demand from many parties.
He mentioned that there were complaints about the high costs charged by other cleaning service providers. As a result, WAMCO decided to offer both cleaning and waste management services together.
This agreement with MPL marks another step in WAMCO's expansion of its cleaning services, which began with a focus on government offices and is now extending to other organizations.
